BEAUTIFUL ='(

The other day I cried my eyes out! I couldn't even find a logical reason why I was crying. Then I finally realized it was because of the lyrics to a song. The song described all the aspects of my life. It's a song that everyone knows, and some even called it the "best song ever". The lyrics of the song goes;

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.!

Concentrate

When doing homework, music really helps me relax and Concentrate! Since grades were recently finalized, I have been on it my P's & Q's. I spent most of my time laying down on my comfortable twin size bed, books and papers scattered everywhere and my music Blasting! Now some people like my Grandmother...uh mm uh mm "How can you concentrate with all that ruckus"? I actually concentrate better when I have the tunes in my head. I will admit, it gets me of course at times, though I always find myself back on my business!

What If Music?

What if music was made up of the human body? I know that the heart would be the bass of a song. The brain was the melody, and our feet and hands were two half notes. Lol, just a thought. What if everyone in the world had an amazing singing voice? Would we still have radio and music videos? If everyone knew how to sing then they can just listen to SOUND OF THERE OWN VOICE! JUST A THOUGHT....

Drake is such an lyrical and poetic artist. Songs like "Sooner Than Later" makes me think about lots. Even though the song talks about him slacking in his relationship, it makes me think of a perfect world. The way the Melody is and the bass in the background hypnotises you and make you think of a UTOPIA.

Expand Your Playlist

Music is stereotyped among people. For example, it is a stereotype for people to say that only young African Americans listen to hip hop, rap, r&b. However this is completely NOT TRUE! I, as a young African American listen to hip hop, r&b, rap, rock, pop, jazz, and even blues. I strongly believe that people can listen to what ever they won't, and they shouldn't care that other people should judge them either. I amsoultyly hate it when people listen to my i-Pod and here songs Paramore, Etta James, AND Ke$ha. I like the music I like! Also I feel bad that other people don't listen outside there normal platlist..........

Comfort Music

As we listen to music, we find that some of the things that we go through in life is also the same things that are expressed in songs. Like a BREAK UP WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND! Alot of songs are made about relationship problem as the topic, so as you go through these hardships listening to these songs can make you feel safe as if your not the only one going through this. I love it when songs come out and explain all the emotions I feeling at that moment. Is like the music is listening when I have no one to tell things to, and its hugging me when I need it most. Music will always be there for me and I love music for that. It may sound weird but trust me! The next time you feel blue, or angry, or flustrated, turn on some music that you can relate to and JUST LET IT OUT!!! You'll feel a heck of alot better.

But excuse me, I'v had a hard day at school so Im going to listen to my i-pod!

Kill Tha Nose!!!!!

So I'm riding in the car on my way home with the momz. She's on the phone laughing, talking loudly and, gossiping. Constantly turning down the radio so she can hear the madness on the other end of her cellular phone, driving me insane!!!! "Mom I want to hear the radio, please, my song is on! Well when in doubt, pull your i-pod out. lol. I do this almost everyday on the way home. Blasting the music in my ear, I tune her completely out and get in my "zone". The zone I get is 100% "I don't care about anything but my tunes". Drown out the nose with music!!!!!!

Music Brings Emotion.....

The other day I was listening to my play list, and I experienced so many different emotions as the songs played. The first song was two is better than one by boys and girls and as I listened to it I felt love, the love I have for my boyfriend and how happy I am to be with him. The lyrics of the song pinpoint all the things I think of when I'm around him or even when I think of him. The lyrics goes as follow; "I remember what you wore on the first day you came into my life and I thought hey now, this could be something"."Maybe its true, I can't live without you. Maybe two, is better than one. There's so much time to figure out the rest of my life but you already go me comin' undone. Now I'm thinkin' two is better than one." The next song on my play list was "Oh Let's Do It" by Lil Wayne. When listening to this song I felt round up, enthused, and pumped. With this southern style, head banging song, it makes young people "hype"(enthused, pumped) and wanting to party and shake my hair wildly. lol. Lastly, the song "Raindrops" by my personal favorite artist Jeremih played. I love this song. It's kind of sexual but not overly sexual. This song makes me feel like slow dancing passionately at a party. This is the perfect song to play when winding down at a party which is exactly what I did after playing "Oh let's do it"!

Real Hip-Hop

If Hip-Hop died tomorrow, would you attend it's funeral? Sounds harsh but that's what some are saying. Hip-Hop today is now necessarily what it used to be. Rap in particular, has really evolved into something amazing. Raging in rap artist from Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, and Waka Flocka Flame, they all have there unique style and individuality. Adults in there 30's feel that artist like Heavy D, Slick Rick, and Run DMC are "real rappers" and desevere all credibilty for forming Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is changing and you either get with it or live in the pass with what you call "REAL HIP-HOP"!
